This is what Soil Hill looked like for most of the week until this morning when it was clear but no wind at all..

Red legged partridge , Stock Dove , Lapwing (30+) , Little Owl , Oystercatcher (2 first for me on site)
Curlew 4 , Moorhen (4) , Magpie . House Sparrow , Kestrel , Canada Goose...just as i was starting enjoy the morning the news broke of Black - necked Grebe at Ringstone.......

It's been quite a day and Nick's happy too.
Brilliant news with the Oystercatchers, hopefully they will try to breed again. Last year I think the chicks lasted two days before presumably a fox ate them, so they can't do much worse.
Yes the bottom fields are very busy now with at least 12 dispalying Lapwing , 2 Oystercatcher and a Curlew was even doing the bubbling call yesterday morning...There are a lot of Carrion Crows about...!!! Still frozen in the morning at the moment...
