SOil Hill Trig Point... Red Grouse and PFG

                             The original Trig point on Soil Hill before landfill took it up about 30 more feet..??
                                              Lots of Skylarks singing today
                                          Red Grouse pretty scarce on Soil Hill ...No seen  one up on Soil Hill for at least 10 years..???
                                    
Reading some old blogg posts last night I reckoned that I should give Raggalds flood a go and PFG very nice to see..this morning....

21st 12 Greenfinch , 1 Curlew over and 1 Red Grouse 
22nd Pink footed Goose on Raggalds Flood and first displaying Lapwings and 12 singing Skylark .Also Moorhen back on the lower ponds first time they have not been frozen over since late December....

Gripped by this Andy. Would be a patch tick for me. Nice one with the Jack Snipe the other day as well.

Hi Daniel , I was hoping to see you on the hill this spring but I hear your stuck in Brazil...!!!!, The Hill has only just defrosted itself since the last time I saw you up there in early DEcember , think the Jack Snipe have only just returned and the Red Grouse was a total surprise....all the best.......

Red Grouse usually get driven up there after a shoot at Fly Flatts or Thornton Moor Aug to Dec.
Unusual at this time of year.

Hopefully it's one that I can get back at some point. Yeah it looks like I'm gonna miss a good portion of the spring unfortunately, depending on how the rules change regarding this hotel quarantine, but there is certainly worse places to be. Fingers crossed the hill produces like it did last year.
