High Cup Nick ..







A male Black Grouse , plenty Culrew , Peregrine and Raven battle , breeding Wheatear and fantastic views...

High Cup Nick - brings back some memories Andy.
Me, Sue and our large Labrador, Lady,did a circular walk on 6th April 1997 - 9 Miles.
I noted in my book at the time:-
"Only for mountaineers".
Lady(our Dog) only just got through the gill.
I remember pushing her up by her bottom through the rocky bit at the end!
It was raining cats and dogs when we did it.

You picked some mega weather!
Those long legs of your must be in good nick!
Nice photos - and .... a bird or two as well!

It was hard going John..think fog , rain and a strong 5/6 s/w blowing up the Gill..Only cleared when i got to the top...what a view when it cleared .....I watched the Black Grouse in flight for a few minutes.....wow
