A regular look at the wildlife that I come across in Calderdale and days out around the UK.Most observations are from the house and gardens Vis mig records are within 500m of the house.Keep it Local.

You,re getting a taste for it now Andy. Have you noticed how it stands out more on photos than when you are actually there. Depending on the light it can be hard to pick out on the water ,especially as there are a few light headed Herrings. Due for a Med gull up there next.
I struggled today when it landed on the water , but picked it up easily when it was in flight...!!! Many second winter herring gulls are white headed and it blends in and disappears,there were lots of large gulls up there today ,an Iceland would be nice.....
