
I think this is a Andrena cineraria.A very hansom Bee.Also if anyone could id the plant its on I would be most grateful.
A regular look at the wildlife that I come across in Calderdale and days out around the UK.Most observations are from the house and gardens Vis mig records are within 500m of the house.Keep it Local.

Is it one of the Bistorts? I think the leaves may be wrong though?
Cheers Nick its Polygonum bistorta 'Superbum' um.,the leaves are nettle as it was surrounded by them.
We have seen a lot in the fields this last week or so around north Halifax. I think it is a natural species but there are lots of garden varieties now.
