Northowram to Beacon Hill and Back
A good passage of Meadow Pipits(10 +5 +2) and Chaffinch(15 +2 +3) over Beacon Hill and a Great Black Backed Gull over as well.2 Greylags on Shibden lake means they are now well and truly every where in Calderdale.....
from my own observations i notice birds come down chelsea valley and gain height as they approach beacon hill then drop down. some great habitat especially around the horse paddock/football pitch( which the owner has made some new footpaths) and the land which belongs to the last bungalow on Long Lane
Crimsworth Dean on Friday - the only movers there were mipits and Chaff's !
ReplyDeleteits a nice walk and beacon hill is very underwatched but with some good habitat
ReplyDeleteYep I agree Darrell it looks a top vis spot and a couple of good fields/scrub to hold on to mogrants...
