Ringstone Today

Popped up to Ringstone today at about 11.30 , it was alive with gulls and looks like BHGulls have had a good breeding season as there were loads of juvs , 2 Common Gulls and 40 + LBBGulls but no Med Gull.....8 Common Scoters , 1 GCGrebe , 1 Little Grebe , 2 Lapwing ,Skylarks , Moorhens , Mallards small groups of Swifts , Swallows and House Martins dropped in to feed before carrying on there journey an adult Whitethroat put in a brief appearance  by the inflow  .Went through the gulls again in the north and  west fields  , gulls were drifting in and out all the time but I drew a blank on the Med..The fields from Barkisland to Ringstone were empty of gulls on the way up but on the way back down there were 100's more Juv BH , Common Gulls and plenty LBBacked..I eventually found the Med Gull fast asleep in the middle of about 300 Black heads....great morning early afternoon...
