Its been tough these last few weeks with the  relentless strong S/W and rain ...lots of rain...A great Black backed Gull was a nice surprise yesterday afternoon and a few Herring Gulls has been about it...

First Curlew

A very early Curlew at Lower Gorple , 118 Lapwing , 4 Golden Plover , 1 Raven , 2 Hen Harriers , 1 Kestrel and 500 + Fieldfare . 9 Whooper Swans at Cold Edge....90 + Pinks calling in the gloom at 5,45......................

had 2 red Fox's kicking about the street this week  and at one point one was sitting on the lawn..!! Great to see......A  Red Kite drifted high s/e yesterday and 3 Buzzards have been seen on and off for the last couple of weeks....in the fields a Common Snipe and 10 meadow Pipits were the only thing of note..70 BH Gull , 2 Herring Gull  and 5 Common gulls flew over south..............53 Pink footed Geese west..............

X - billed Gull

Just one Caspian gull today but it was very  windy  and I had little time to hang around 1st winter herring gull with the x bill was interesting...amazing it made it to adulthood....!!!!
